Default Help identify this turbo.. 56K beware!!

My buddy bought this turbo. To me it looks to be a T3. I am unsure of trim and a/r.
Here are some pics I can take more if needed.

your photos clearly shows that the compressor is .48 a/r and the turbine is .80 a/r i think. sorry can't help ya with the trim

From the pictures I'd guesstimate T3, but can you get any pics of the flanges (exhaust intake & outlet specifically)? That's usually a pretty decent way (in my experience) of telling what type of turbo it is, or at least ruling out most.

That is a straight t4 judging by the exhaust side. I have never seen a .80 a/r exhaust housing in a t3, also its a v-band style housing. I have never seen a t3 housing with the v-band style. My best guess would be a straight to4b, but i cannot be sure of the trim sizes without doing some measurements.
