Upgrade gt3582r. Input?
I have a garret GT35r that was bottoming out at 30psi last time my b series setup hit the dyno. I am changing cams from CTR to pro1:s, E85 and alot of other stuff and need a retune so I was looking at what can be done to the turbo without buying a new one. Purpose is mostly circit racing or on the streets having fun.. No city driving.. A few dragrace weekends a year.
I have seen a few options out there. Fitting a GTX compresor wheel with no need for machining the compressor cover:
MIC Turbo and Injection, INC.
A GTX wheel that I guess you can use but I would think that some machining has to be done to the compressor cover or a new cover. Last time I checked MIC turbo took $375 for this upgrade.
MIC Turbo and Injection, INC.
Forced performance has a upgrade too but it is $700
The best for me I is to buy parts in US and have a lokal shop here in Sweden balance and assemble it.
I fear that the GTX wheels available are not garret ones and that its made of cheap material and that I face a risk of expensive failures. Thats why I am looking for input.
And then there is alot of stuff all over ebay also.
GTX titanium wheel
Snailturbo GTX3582R Ceramic Dual Ball Bearing Chra w Titanium Billet Comp Wheel | eBay
2nd edit. I just checked and titanium has a higher density then aluminium so with a good aluminium alloy Ti is not needed.

I meen snail turbo.. WTF is that.. Intresting with a titanium wheel though

Re: Upgrade gt3582r. Input?
I emaild Mac at STC.. (The Shodan) and this is the solution:
Interceptor GT3584R Ball Bearing Super Core
He can turn a used gt35r to the interceptor. it has a 7+7 compressor wheel compared to the GTX 11 blade. The 7+7 blade usualy means better respons.

LighteningTeg:
How do you like the respons of it? Between shifts etc.. Beautiful graf, tourqe is pretty nice and flat and spool is fast. Did you stop there at 15psi? I would have loved a 30+ psi graf.
Whats your speces on the exhaust side? I would have expted a little higher power at 15psi on a 62mm turbo in general I guess.. What cams?

My fuel pump dyed on the dyno right when I started to turn up the boost. I replaced the pump but never ended up going back to the dyno and just street tuned it to 30lbs. I will tell you definitely over 600whp based on acceleration logs and the injector duty cycle.
Compressor:
T04S Compressor Cover .70A/R
Inducer: 60.82mm
Exducer: 89mm (Extended tip)
Turbine:

Exducer: 61.8mm
