Default Turbo Timer Question

Let's say you pull the key from the ignition while the timer is counting down.
1. Does your radiator fan come on while the timer is activated?
2. If so, what wires did you use to connect the timer with?
My fan does not come on while my timer is counting down. I connected the ignition end to 'ign 1' on my civic. Moving it to 'ign 2' may cure my problem. What do you guys think?
Background:
HKS TYPE 1 timer w/
Red- 12v constant- connected to always hot wire right behind key switch
Green- 12v ignition- ignition 1 switch. Suggest changing to ignition 2 on switch
Blue- 12v accessory- accessory wire behind key switch.
Ideas?

1. yes
2. sell your turbo timer on ebay, and just sit in your car for the extra 30 seconds(+ when driven hard) or even just ease off the throttle when you are nearing your destination to shorten the length...
take that 50-100 bucks and take out your girlfriend, no girlfriend? the just hit the strip joint. money much better spent.

not much help, just felt like saying something due to lack of response
