93 coupe civic dx
b18b1 block
wiseco dish pistons
eagle rods
acl race rod bearing
stock head gasket
stock type r head, b16 intake mani port matched
60/63 trim precision turbo
open 3 inch downpipe
450 cc dsm injectors
walbaro 255 fuel pump
arp head studs

iv seen 450s absolutly max out of fuel at 365whp. I would do under 320whp to be safe.

300 whp is the intelligent max for those injectors. I'd upgrade, but setup should be a fun street car

As everyone has mentioned, you're going to be limited to less than 300whp with the DSM 450s. When you upgrade injectors and run E85, there is no reason to run a set of 1600cc injectors when a set of 1000cc's will do just fine. You will max out your turbo and push the limits of your stock sleeve block long before you run out of injector with a set of 1000's...

On 450cc injectors, like said b4. 300 is the SAFE max I would do. If you were to upgrade your injectors you could go for more power, but how much depends on your turbo, exhaust and charge pipes along with many other things. So what size is your turbo? You said 60/63 but is that yor trim or a/r size? What is the wheel diameters on your turbo? What stage wheels? ect ect ect........

With a set of 1000cc injectors on E85, you will have enough injector flow to squeek past 500whp which is more power than either your turbo or block can safely manage. Also, you will run out of fuel pump before that point since the equivalent flow in gasoline would yield 660+whp...much more than a typical Walbro is capable of.

why not just get the proper injectors and tune them to start with? unless you have tones of money to do 2 full tunes IDK.

The stock sleeves have been proven to over 600whp IIRC but if you're wanting a reliable setup, anything over 450whp would be pushing it. The problem with building for more power (sleeving and so forth) is that the cost tends to escalate exponentially. It may cost $3k to make 300whp. On the same scale, it would cost $6k to make 600whp but that is much less than you would expect to pay. If i were in your situation (and i'm close...piston/rod combo on stock sleeves) i would build as planned and play with ~400whp. Its more power than you can really use on the street anyway. **I know people run 500whp+ setups on the street, but its a little overkill.

What are the numbers on the pistons? They look about like the dish I have on my wiescos. And in my Ls they come out to 8.2:1 but I have had my block decked .0010 and its bore is 80.50mm So if you are running stock deck height, stock bore, and stock deck on your head your looking right around 8.0:1 DONT LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT ITS GONA BE SHI#TY FOR DRIVING ON THE STREET!!! Ive been driving mine as a dd and and Right out of the box it felt way more powerfull than a stock ls. I couldent figure this one out. I just figured it was because it was balanced and printed. Jumped on the dyno and it put down 125whp 115tq on a stock tune. It was lean all the way to 5500 thrn went dead rich. So Im sure with some tuning and extra timing I could have pulled 130whp. The whole reason I even did a na pull on a built for boost motor was to show all the haters that a low compression motor isnt such a bad thing for dd. So run them if you got them!!

I should know what kind of numbers on boost I will be putting down in the next month or so. Also this was on a stock obd-0 intake mani, a stock obd-1 tune, a stock 4-1 header(obd-0). The only thing that was differant than stock was no cat, 2 3/8" exhaust that bottlenecked down to stock over the rear axle, then a non flowing flowmaster for a muffler. As for cai, it was just a filter clamped onto my tb...lol

Im shooting for 350-400 whp. My turbo is not huge by any standards. Its a to4e 40 trim with a .70 ar exhaust. So spool time should be fast and remember this is my dd street car. Not a track only car!
