Default Torque!!!

Hey FI guys.

I'm an N/A guy and im just finishing building up my 240whp n/a 2.0 motor. I put so much money into this motor, but my problem is it's not a street motor, it's got high compression, gas ported pistons, running clearances for max power not reliability, etc... so I'm going to throw together a daily driver setup, and i figure i'd try boost, since i've never had a turbo car..

But here's the thing, the car will never be raced. I have n/a car for that (should run high 11's), all i need is to get around town very comfortably, and that takes torque. So check this out....

I can get alot of these parts really cheap, i know this is a weird setup, but my point is torque and comfortably driving (not needing to be at 5000+rpm to get moving).

B20b Block (blockguard, arp headbolts)
B21a Crank (95mm)
B16 Stock Rods (arp rod bolts)
LS Head (backyard port and polish, skunk manifold)
GSR Greddy Kit
Hondata + 440cc Injectors

84.5mm Bore * 95mm Stroke = 2131cc

Thinking redline will be around 7000rpm, but the torque should start around 1200rpm, and be pretty sick to daily drive around...

any comments?
just want some ideas. I know just a straight b20 w/ greddy kit is probably the better more typical setup w/o the crank, but I wonder what a 2.2L Bseries with a small turbo on it would feel like..almost like a JRSC..

You sure the b21a crank will work in a b20 block? I thought I remember reading it doesn't.

If you want low RPM torque make sure you don't get a monster turbo that is good for 400whp.

*edit* Just saw you have a greddy kit. With that kit and a 2.0 liter engine you should have plenty of low end grunt.

Definately using a tiny turbo...if i get a big turbo then i'd start getting into forced induction and then i'd have to start a 83*89/fullrace/sc63/built/sleeved..motor with 30lbs...so ill skip the 600whp 35k investment, and just built this daily drive on boost..lol

The crank fits with minor modication.

The only thing im worried about is that b20 cylinder walls are weak from factory with an ls crank, and a 95mm stroke would kill the rod/stroke ratio and put alot of sideload on cylinder walls, plus plenty of stress from 5-8psi of boost....

Maybe ls w/ b21 crank is better idea..

That motor is one of the few motors i'd ever consider using a blockguard on if I wasn't going to sleeve it. I've seen too many of the sleeves give up. I wonder if it's worth a shot, especially since those new ones are out that don't **** up cooling (supposedly)?

Also, a small turbo will be fun. can't wait to see it.
