Tial wastegate spring set at 7psi, why is my car running 10?
well i just put my turbo kit on my car, and i recently bought a tial 38mm wastegate for it. i bought a 7lb spring and forsome reason my car is running ten daily. Thats what my boost gauge is reading. does anyone know what might be the problem. on top of my tial wastegate where the boost controller goes, i left it open because i don't have one. and many on H-t says its ok to run it open if i didn't have one. or is it even a problem with my wastegate?

are you sure the spring is a 7lb spring? Like have you taken it apart and found out? you dont have a mbc on the vac line that is connected to the side of the wastegate? Where are you taking your vac source from? Same place as the boost guage?

i think the spring is only the limit you can not go under so if you have a seven pound spring then you can not boost under seven pounds

Make sure that you are looking at the spec sheet correctly. 10 pounds is equal to .7 bar. Open the wastegate if it is a big red that is the .7 bar or 10.15 pound.
