I got a thermal 3". I can still hear my BOV and turbo spool; especially with a open dumptube. My car sounds like a damn Jet lol.

Open dump tube will yield you more power and no power loss like a closed loop system. If done properly you can have a closed loop setup which will give you minimal power loss if any. You just have to plumb it back into your exhaust system right before or after the converter.

I just installed mine. Still waiting for my test pipe to be finished before I can hear how it sounds. The only thing I don't like so far is the tip on mine seems to stick out from the bumper like 3 inches.

So, the guy with the type R a while back says his thermal turbo exhaust is a bit raspy, others say its a low rumble....which is it? becuase i'm going to get an exhaust soon for my setup and i cannot stand any raspyness...

Scroll up, someone already answered that question for you....I have it on my car and I feel like they look a little like something PepBoys would sell too...They also attract alot of unecesary attention (thieves, police) so if you do get, u might wanna paint the back of it a flat black or something...

It was one of the best exhausts you can get but now alot more manufactuers are making full stainless exhausts but very few are full 3"...It is high quality stuff though..

I recently saw a Greddy Power Extreme II in 3", anyone ever hear of his? How does this compare to the Thermal exhaust?? It was a little cheaper, only $520 plus shipping.

its actually 2.75" piping, and its really low and mellow because it has resonators in it.

I have a 3" on my civic. I think its pretty loud. A great low rumbling sound. Definately a distinct sound and a high quality catback. Back when I was running stock internals I went from 202whp to 229whp just by putting on the thermal 3" catback and a high flow 3" cat. I purchased my thermal catback from ultra performance. They always have an ad in sport compact car. I paid around 515.00 shipped. It was the cheapest I could find. Most places were like 575.00 shipped.
Does anyone know if they make a silencer for long road trips?

Looks great. For some reason mine has a long tip that extended out like 3-4inches from the bumper and the hanger were alittle off. I'm thinking I may have gotten one for a 4 door.
