Thermal or ceramic coating for manifold
I bought a SFP manifold and I am happy with it so but it is showing signs of rust. I want to get a coating for it. Can I do it myself? If so, what product can I use. If not, who should I send it to? SFP charges $175.

Re: Thermal or ceramic coating for manifold (dominate9)
If you are looking on getting rid of the rust then you can spray paint it yourself .. just make sure the spary paint is 2000 F so it wont flake off...
... keep in mind that spray painting your turbo manifold is not the same thing as ceramic coating it ... they do not simply spray some ceramic on .... it goes through a process and they bake it on ...
So if you want to save some cash and just do it for the looks Id go for the first option ... If you want to actually create a thermal shield, lower engine bay temps , keep more thermal energy going to that turbo , and at the same time keep the manifold from rusting then pay up for the ceramic coating ....
either go the SFP ... or here's a list of cheaper places ...

... I got my Sidewinder coated from hyperkote in orlando for 100 dollars ...
