Default sohc turbo missing/cutting out ^5500rpm

I have a 97 sohc vtec with thegreddy turbo kit on it. She runs fine at .6 bar which is about 7.6 or something psi, but when I turn it up to .68 bar it will cut out\ miss above 5500 rpm. What could this be. I am running some cold denso plugs. Could they not be gapped properly? Do I need an ignition such as msd? I have plenty of fuel flowing 440 cc injectors 255 fuel pump aem fuel rail. although I dont have a fuel pressure regulator. Could I be loosing fuel pressure at high rpm with high boost. Oh yeah I should mention that im running the VAFC "Hack"and I have my VAFC set at -38.

thanks any answers will be appreciated

I have had almost the exact same problem now for some time. Have you solved it? if so, what was it?

I had a similar problem definitely try regapping your plugs probably to large a gap but you can go to small as well. It worked for me .

Try gaping your plugs as low as 26-28, retard your timing, add some fuel. Your probably just predetonating or not gettin enough spark in the pressure conditions of your cylinder.
