Smoking
I have been dealing with a smoking issue for a little while now. It is more of an annoyance than a real problem. I have found it to happen under two scenarios:
-On a cold start, if I let it idle for about 5 mins it will start to smoke until I start to drive
-On a cold start, if I do any heavy acceleration within the first 5-10 mins it will smoke a little after the acceleration and stop after the car warms up.
When it smokes, I can see a little smoke coming out of the breather so it is not coming from the turbo seals.
I have a built motor with about 30,000 miles on it. Compression and power are good. I am not loosing oil or coolant.
My guess I just have normal ring/cylinder wear and oil gets past the rings when the pistons are cold. I don't think it is the valve seals as it does not smoke immediately upon startup. If I start driving right after startup and don't get under heavy load unit it is warm, I will not get any smoke.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Re: Smoking
Stock PCV is gone. I am using a catch can using both ports on the back of the block (one in and one return) with a breather on top of the can. The valve cover just has a breather filter.
