Silicone 90degree Tight Turn Elbow... efficient? pic inside
They sell it on ATPTurbo.com for $28. "90 Degree molded tight turn elbow. 2.385" (at turbo inlet) to 2.5" high temp rubber. Excellent for turbo inlet use where 90 degree turn is tight fit. Very rigid for high boost use and won't collapse. Direct fit on T3 inlet."
I dont know much about air movement but this turn looks a little rough to me... my turbo hangs a little low and right now I have a hump hose with a ~60deg steel pipe coming off my turbo... its not the best design so I want to replace it. This coupler looks like what I need but I am afraid it may hurt performance when im running around 25psi. Let me know if anyone has any experience with it...
It's either this or getting a 90deg silicone bend and letting it hang a little bit low.

looks a little cluster-expletive like to me. might be a little restrictive at higher boost levels, not to mention its rubber. i see it getting soft and expanding

I got a 90 degree coupling from turbohoses.com it is 2.25 in/outlet but it comes with a sleeve that fits inside one side of the coupling and that is what fills in the gap to make it fit on the turbo too.
basically, its a thin coupling to go inside one side of the 90 to make that one side smaller in id.
Its held just fine even at 24 psi daily driven.

I use the turbonetics silicone 90 degree bends on all the full-race pro street manifolds. A little bit of coin but it keeps the piping up higher. From now on im just welding an aluminum 90 on the outlet of the turbo.

Re: (uglyasscivic)
weld a 90 degree bend to the compressor housing if you knwo someone to weld aluminum. that's the easiest solution, other wise, i wouldn't get that one, just get a normal 90 degree silicon hose. I had one on my old setup and it was fine.

That coupler looks really restrictive I used a silicone 90deg coming off my compressor and it's held perfect, not soft or torn andit's been on for 1 year. Although it is best to not be lazy and get the 90 deg bend to weld on. I will be doing this when I swap motors just to eliminate any the weak links of the set up.
