s258 or s362
I cant decide between the BW s258 or the s362 in a s200 cover.
This will be going on a built 2.0ltr LS/V with a stock b16 head. My turbo manifold is a Version2 peakboost ramhorn. Car is a full weight '94 integra that i drive on the street almost everyday and take to the drag strip almost every weekend.
I would like to get low 11's out of the car, atleast.
Ive been talking to the SHODAN and can get either one for the same price.
HP wise im looking for somewhere around 400 on pump and t 550+ on race fuel.
Im pretty sure that the s258 would be a better everyday driving turbo, but i dont really want to push 35+psi to reach the 550+hp goals. The s362 could reach that at around ~25psi.
Would the later "spooling" s362 be useless on the street? Would i have a not-so-usable power band with the s362 since im using a stock head and cant rev much past 8k?
Id like to hear what your opinions are.
Thanks

The S258 should meet your goals easily. Its a very streetable turbo...i have an S256 on my 1.8L GSR and it gets into boost around 3200rpm and achieves full boost 16psi at about 42-4400rpm. Its a sweet turbo and sounds amazing.
