Ryguy's New Turbo Build W/ Pics!
Hey Guys,
I’ve helped people build motors, but I’ve never had a boosted motor before, if you can believe that. So here is my build that I’ve been putting together for the last year. If you have any suggestions or comments, I would like to hear them, but I don’t want to get slammed here. I’m a poor college student who is trying to have a little fun lol. I will be posting and updating with pictures and new items as I receive them. She will hopefully be tuned and put on the dyno for numbers when it gets warmer out here, and everything should be put together in the next month! I don’t want anything more than 350-375 whp initially, and it’s going to be my daily driver.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
Here are some of my picture from the stuff I have for my turbo setup. Idk how to write the description in words above each picture, but I'm sure the pictures are pretty self explanatory.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
I literally just got these as I was finishing up the last post. I want to give a big thanks to Innes on here. He hit me up about these cams, and these are absolutely flawless '00 ITR cams.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
Thanks. It's taken me awhile to get almost everything together. Craigslist and the marketplace on here have become my best friends to find parts. Taxes gave me a nice amount to spend to finish it up.

Do u mean the little plate that has the serial number for the cartridge? The number on is 700177-14. I'll get a picture up when I get off work.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
Haha you guys have any suggestions? I have friends that use a stock fuel rail. Do I need an aftermarket one or will I be just fine with a stock one?

Or save that upgrade for a later date when/if you want to make more power.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
I pieced everything together. I spent a lot of time on craigslist looking for parts. There were only a few things that are actually new cuz I found awesome deals through friends and on here.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
I know I haven't updated this, but it was because it didn't look like anyone was interested. After some work and assembling this is the motor. Still have a couple small things to attend to, but it should be running in about a week! I also spent about an hour and a half sanding and polishing the compressor housing. Looks a bit better.

Re: Ryguy's New Turbo Build
I also picked up this blown 57 trim garrett turbo for a good price and rebuilding it. Took it apart and cleaned it. The guy I bought it from on here said that the wheels were in good shape, but when I looked at the turbine, the blades were literally torn to shreds, so now i'm just waiting for the turbine wheel I ordered. Douchebag.
