replaced head gasket.... white smoke from exhaust, breather tube and dipstick/turbo area still after
car was blowing whiteish smoke from the exhaust and breather tube... oil changed showed coolant within. i figured a blown HG. So, i replaced the head gasket. the head wasnt warped, check out within the .002 limits with a dial indicator. using arp studs, torqued correctly
now, its still smoking from the exhaust and breather tube but now also near the dipstick/turbo manifold to turbo connection area. i first blamed the smoke from their on excessive oil spillage from pulling the head while doing the HG install... but now im not sure.
ive only driven about 5 miles tops, and has run for about 20-30 min total between a few start ups and checking things out. runs and sounds fine. seems good, but it felt good before the head gasket install as well.
side notes. i do have a block guard... which sits slightly below the deck surface. I washed the rings about 5000 miles ago so, i pulled the head and replaced the rings as well as a new HG.
i didnt notice any excess oil in the exhaust ports when i pulled the head, spark plugs were dry as well. My TB had a buildup of dark "soot" but nothing wet.
My guess is that the next step would be a leakdown test, but i was wondering if maybe my turbo seals were bad too?
any thoughts?

Well smoke out of your breather is a sing of cracked ringlands or warn rings it's caused by all the blow by you now have. But I'm not sure if the smoke would be white in color... I would say do a compression and leakdown test for sure and let me no what results you got. could be a little bit of sleeve damage.

do a leak down and compression test i just had the same symptoms and 3 pistons had cracked ringlands but only one cylinder showed low compression and 45% on the leakdown.
