Default precision's new billet 67mm wheel?

heard there is a new redesigned 67mm wheel from precision that is making some insane power. Was told there is an evo in the low 800's awhp with a t3 turbine? can that be confirmed? Is this the precision67-65? That would killer...800hp in a smaller package than the 42r/s372 framed turbos. I was told with the right housings and turbine wheel, it supports up to 950hp?

They havent released any specs on it yet...as far as i know but precision hinted that the price would be close to 2k for the ball bearing billet unit. I think it will release any day.

Yes its confirmed that AMS did test one on Martins car, it made 820-840ish awhp I believe, depending on if your talking corrected or un-corrected numbers.

I dont see if supporting 950 though, thats just the other vendors on the evo forums talking up what they will do when they get one to downplay AMS's results as lesser than what they think they can do. Its part of the typical passive aggressive vendor BS that goes on over there.

AMS has them listed already for sale on some forums their on at 1899/ each for a bb unit with whatever options of housings you want. They have 3 units already not counting their test unit.

No way I am spending close to 2k for a 67mm turbo when a 42R is just pennies more. Great compact turbo that makes big power but 1900-2k gimme a break.

I hear that, I am sure this is just the initial pricing of having them before anyone. At any rate I am sticking with my billet 6265 for now... I dont see myself needing more turbo than this for a little bit.

850awhp out of a t3 wowsers, and the spool doesn't even compare to any other turbo's capable of that amount of power Billett wheels are the new way to make more power out of smaller turbo's IMHO

Theres a reason it costs what it cost. Not everyone can machine compressor wheels...

I'm guessing that billet 67mm wheel will flow very similar to the cast 4294 wheel.

Oh I know why it costs that, I just feel like that price is like paying for a steak dinner and getting a tossed salad's worth of food, even though you feel just as full when you leave as if you did eat the steak if that makes any sense

definately on the right hotside since it made 850awp on a t3 not sure if it was .82 or 1.06 but i think it was the .82

and thats awhp so fwd would be more so put this compressor in the right t4 hotside and i think 900-950fwhp with the right tune could be done and spool ALOT sooner than a gt anything and wait till they make a dbb version of this its going to own
the way its made its almost an ETT wheel if you saw it you would know what i mean

how do you figure to me its like ordering a 12 ounce ribeye and getting a 64 ounce ribeye
looks small like it couldn't make the power it does
if you put a gt or BW turbo capable of 900whp beside this turbo you would say no way can that do what the other can

The AMS car made 840ish on their high reading dyno on some rediculous high boost levels. Noone has even pushed a s366 that hard yet and documented it at least. I'm not sure if you looked at the graph but it really doesn't spool that quick at all if that's what you are concerned with. At those same boost levels I'm sure other 66-67mm turbos probably would support about the same hp and spool about the same also for 800-1000 dollars less.

i'll believe it when i see it

here is the s366 on a 2.0 lsvtec
mods Engine: 2.0 Ls/Vtec, Skunk2 Pro 1 cams, Supertech valve train, Edelbrock Intake manifold, Hondata intake manifold gasket

Mods: Top mount divided manifold, Twin Tial 44mm wastegates, Borg Warner s366, 4" dp, 4" exhaust, precision medium intercooler, custom 3" charge pipes, Tial 50mm bov, bosch 1600cc injectors, aeromotive a1000 fuel pump, aeromotive a1000 fuel pressure regulator, Hondata boost solenoid, Hondata s300

Tuning at 14psi on 93 octane and 30psi on C16:
dyno

comments from jeff "
I was impressed with the turbo. This particular car was doing some weird stuff each run (power was all over the place run to run with no changes). I believe this turbo could make low 800whp on the dyno at 35-40psi."

im asking ams to post up the 850awhp sheet with wtq, whp, and rpms if they post it ill post it here
but to hold us over here is one of the ams car making 823awhp to compare to the sheet above btw i don't think id pass this powerband up 3k rpm's of plenty of power and torque

can someone explain to me the benefits of this billet wheel compared to a cast unit? I am always trying to learn new things.

Yes they started shipping them this past Friday.

The turbo is a 67mm Aluminum Billet Extended tip!!!! The retail on this turbo is $2109.

AMS made like 84Xwhp on Martin's EVO. Imagine a honda motor, WOOOW!!!

This turbo is going to be a trouble maker!!!

The s366xl is not even 66mm let alone 67mm and it was at 30lbs vs. 42 on the ams car. Like I said before results would be similar for 1000 dollars less at the same boost levels.

true and good points but you know as well as i do that an evo head can't compare to a honda head stock for stock or both worked over thats why the evo need that much more boost

i was just saying this is the only t3 turbo that we have seen make 850whp let alone awhp, plus we haven't seen the 366 maxed out that i have seen but i think the billet wheel apears to show great spool for a turbo of that size and not DBB plus it can withstand 40 psi neither of which have been see out of the s366

now don't get me wrong i love BW id take a s256 or a s258 over a gt30 all day long
