I'm going to be getting the PFC for my Turbo ITR soon. In order for it to control boost, do I HAVE to get the Apexi Boost Control Kit for it in order to map it for boost? or can I still use an MBC? Which one do I get as it is not actually listed for the ITR as its not an oem turbo car.

Can someone confirm that if this solenoid is the SAME as the one used for the AVC-R? If this is the case, it might be worth paying that little extra for the AVC-R and use the solenoid valve instyead of just getting the boost kit seperately as its nearly the cost of the AVC-R itself?

you only need the PFC boost controller only if you want to control the boost using the PFC commander...otherwise you don't need it...you can use anything to control the boost. The AVC-R's selenoid is different (I think)

Miraiz is correct, you can use any boost controller you want. but if to use the commander you need the boost control kit.

carboy, xs, and spi told me that the solenoid was the same in the pfc boost kit and the avcr. They recommended that I just use the avcr. My thinking is, if I can use the pfc to control boost for an addition $180 for the boost kit, why spend $400 for the avcr with has the same solenoid?

i talked to the guy who tunes the pfc at xs and he told me that it sucked and i should get a different controller instead.i was not going to argue with him.i use a turboxs hpdbc manual controller with mine.

yes the power fc boost kit sucks. im using an AVC-R with my power fc boost readings are a little off on the commander so get the boost readings off the AVC-R
