plugging extra O2 sensor bung hole
My fmax kit put a bung hole in the downpipe. Why, i don't know. the stock gsr has it in the cat.
Is there an effective way to plug the hole? Can someone give me specifics on whether i can find a plug or bolt with specific thread size?

Re: plugging extra O2 sensor bung hole (GruvyTune)
On the Si we have TWO sensors, one in the DP and one in the cat.......i think GSRS are the same

if it has one in the cat...it's obdII right? the primary will always have one in the manifold, if there is one in the cat, it would be obdII
right??

Like I said in the other thread, it'll probably be cheaper for you just to take it to an exhaust shop and get it welded shut. i had to get one of mine welded shut. If they charge you anything, it'll probably be minimal. Any cheesy muffler chain will do.

i'd rather not weld it shut. it will be a nice thing to have when i dyno tune it. What's the thread size to look for a bolt to put in there?

If you dyno tune it you'll be putting the wideband O2 sensor up your tailpipe, not screwing it into the downpipe. I'm sure there might be a couple places that will allow you to screw in their lambda sensors, but I've never heard of any.

Maybe its just too late at night and i'm missing something but couldn't he just screw a bolt into the hole. Always use the simplist solution.

Re: plugging extra O2 sensor bung hole (QuickHonda)
well, its early morning now and that is probably what I will try to do. I had just thought there were plugs made to fit in these and that someone knew what size to get. I'll bring the pipe to the shop and fit one.
thanks

Does it really fit? And would it cause any problems?

it fits, then put a wire and a coil on it connected to a switch, and be fast and furious style with flames out the back

Re: plugging extra O2 sensor bung hole (JonGP4)
I stripped the o2 sensor on my dc 4-1 header and now my dp just has a hole in it with no o2 sensor. I was tuned without a o2 sensor in my dp using a s200. Would it make a difference if I put it on or just plug it shut?
