Oil Pressure sender location and Low Oil Pressure?
I boosted my car this weekend and ran my feed line from an existing Tee that had the stock oil sender and my Defi sender in it. Before installing the turbo setup, the gauge would read about 15-20psi at idle and 65-75psi by 4k rpms. Now after adding another Tee to the existing Tee, the oil pressure reads about 8-10psi at idle and in the 40-50's at cruising. Here is a rough MSPaint sketch of the setup:
My question is, would the placement of the Defi Oil Sender cause it to read lower than it actually would be since the feed line is on the opposite end of the tee? Could this be why the gauge is reading a lot lower than before? Would swapping the location between with the Stock Oil sender remedy this? I know the turbo will reduce some oil pressure, but this is almost half of what it normally was. My VTEC engages fine and doesn't fall out at all. Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, ITR/GSR pump, less than 6K miles on it.

good idea... that wouldnt effect the pressure from the tee to the turbo, so long as you used a 3AN line from tee to turbo... right?

That fixed the problem. Now a solid 60psi while cruising.
