Default Is Nitrous Timing retards nescessary

Is Nitrous Timing retards nescessary to run a 75 shot NX system if I already am using 2 steps colder plugs, 93 octane fuel along with NOS Off Road octane booster? I have a 95 integra LS btw

should be. Might want to run 100 octane unleaded to be on the safe side. Knock your timing back manually one degree and see if you detonate at all. If you don't detonate put the timing back to normal and do another pull. Check the plugs and decide from there.

Oops. Dont factor this in, it's basically just a waste of money.

I agree, octane boost is a waste. Get higher octane fuel rather than wasting the cash on the "booster".

By denonation do you mean the spark plug's gap at the bottom looking burnt when you pull them out? How do I determine if it denonates. And if it doesn't than I can leave it at normal correct?

You'll see white specks on the plug if you are detonating. If you see any white specks quit spraying and go for higher octane fuel or retard your timing.

One thing I have always wanted to try instead of timing retard with the wet kits is to run a seperate fuel cell and pump to the nitrous lines with race gas, or even pure tolulene with some additives in it. If you're limited on nitrous, odds are a small fuel cell will do you quite nicely. You would see a substantial, safe power increase as well provided you were doing something with the extra heat.

If you're dry, you can't safely make enough power to justify a retard IMO.

I'm saying run 100 octane with the two step colder plugs or run premium pump gas with one or two step colder plugs and two degrees of timing retard pulled.
