The oil pan sits .25-.50" higher then the D16Y8 oil pan. Its suppose to hold 5.6L so we will see. Im going to weld it up tomorrow and ill measure out the total oil cap. The head work was all done by me. Pretty much the same as my last motor.

As for oil pump mods basicly opening up the pick up and cleaning up all the sharp edges. On the oil pressure side were the pump feeds the block will be rounded out and opened up and polished. The relief valve i have a shim thats i believe. .40th thinner. Ill dig up my old oil pump mods.

Thats not as much as i thought. From the pics that oil pan looks huge, but only holds 6 quarts. Nice build so far

1st time ive seen someone polish the inside of the block like that. ive seen v8 guys do it in the past to promote drainback, but that is a 1st on a honda (for me anyhow)

nice build up

Well motor is up and running. 8psi first night was pulling well set my AF to 11.9-12.0 car runs stronger then at 12psi on old motor. Put it to 12psi and the car pulls very well . But my PCV is leaking and pressuring my motor so dipstick popped out. So going to put the new valve cover on this weekend with the -8 breather ports and catch can.
