Default quick question regarding my built b16a and a borg warner gm-8.

first off i just built a .10 over filled sleeve 8.5:1 compression b16a
with stock head.

ive been told that on my quest to 400whp that i may actually run out of turbo using this rhc6. anyone have any practical experience with this turbo? any thoughts or ideas.?

I don't know the specs on a GM-8, but I'm using a GM-5 on my H22 - it's got a .70 compressor a/r and .60 turbine a/r. If they're similar, I would think the GM-8 would be pretty laggy on a B16 with low compression since I usually hit full boost (only running 5-6 psi) by 3700-4000 rpm.

I'm guessing that the GM-5 should be good for up to 450-475whp, but, I don't have any personal experience to back that up.

bubs, the gm-3 thru gm-8s are the same turbo

i know its rated ar somewhere around 500whp, but i have soome people trying to convince me otherwise, i have no perosnal experience with these turbos, so im fishing for people who do to let me know how these puppies work.
