Moroso oil pan's quesions?
Im piecing together my turbo set up right now and ive been looking at the moroso oil pan. I was wondering if anybody here is using one or has a review on it also if anyone has any pictures of their drain line set ups ...I've heard that some people don't like them because of the where the drain line goes, or that they leak. I tried to find some info online but couldn't find any useful information....any info is appreciated

also using one. in all honesty it's the design honda should have used to start with. fit is excellent, no leaks and i even installed it dry. will tell you one thing though. leaks on oil pans are 99% due to dirty surface area and the bolt sequence either torqued wrong or tightened in the wrong order

I need to do this. I have an oem rubber gasket and it doesn't leak on the ground but you can see it sweating oil around the seems some. What I do love is that I can pour 5qts of oil (standard container) and it's perfect on the dipstick. Makes it easier for oil changes not having the gauge anything.

[QUOTE=sanman000719;45707752]we had to modify mine for the pick up tube, but other than that perfecto[/QUOTE
Why did it have to be modified? was anything wrong with it? and did you use the grey gasket sealer instead of an oem gasket ?

you were suppose to use liquid teflon on those and tighten them down before oil ever hit it. now, drain the oil, use brake clean and clean the **** out of the threads, use liquid high temp thread dope and re install

Re: Moroso oil pan's quesions?
yeah i used high temp rtv on my drain plug then filled it and it doesnt leak anymore
i used a oem rubber gasket, and gray gasket as well
when you get the pan it comes pretty solid inside, and the sopt where the pick up drops into that slot would catch up so i just cut that drop in peice out and walla

Liquid teflon you should be able to pick up at the hardware store. It is used for black steel gas line fittings and some other uses. The one I have is in a brush-on container like my anti-sieze. Also, the teflon is not a sealant, it is a thread lubricant. But, I have never had a gas leak issue when using it on a properly prepared surface with proper torque on the fitting.

Re: Moroso oil pan's quesions?
I've had one for about a year now. I've had "sweating" issues using a oem gasket but other than that, it's worked great. the sweating i am referring to is never enough to actually drip onto the ground... just enough to get residue on the pan.
