Default JDM B18C swap or Fully built D-series turbo w/ nitrous???????????

Have a 95 EJ1 Civic coupe. Thinking of doing a NA ITR buildup, but at the same time thinking about fully building the stock D16Z6 with 20-25psi with direct port and a single fogger in the turbo..... going with a big turbo so will need the n2o to spool it up.......What do you guys think??????????

With the turbo on a D series. You'll have to built the bottom end since you'll have turbo and nitrous. Money wise, it'll be greater than buying a B18, you MIGHT have more hp, but it'll come with tunning. That's money right there. Why not start with a B18, N/A proved reliable down the road and you prob have the same hp with basic bolt on. Down the road, you can turbo it later with ease since it has strong bottom end already (compare to your D series)

He already said that he was going to build the bottom end on the D-series. The HP on the D-series will be more than double the HP of the b18c with bolt-ons if build properly and good tuning. I'm going to let some other people flame on what 92SiB18C1 said, most of it doesnt make sense and sounds like he knows nothing about FI.

need a built d16z6? I've just bought a 01 VW GTI and am getting out of the Honda scene. Its a pain having a boosted hcar in socal. blaaah

1.6 SOHC VTEC D16Z6
Ductile Iron Sleeves
Solid Deck
Cunningham rods
Wiseco 8:1 pistons
AEM True-Time cam gear
AEM oversized throttle body
ARP Head studs
Match ported intake manifold
Ported and Polish Intake/Exhaust ports

Made 384 at 21psi and ran 11.9

compression is 550 in all 4.

Who built this engine for you? How much?
This with turbo, manifolds, bov, wastegate, downpipe, pistons, rods, ferrea valvetrain components, HONDATA, fuel injectors, etc. will cost in excess of $7K-$8K. But for a mere $4K-$5K more you could build a B-series full buildup and turbo...... tempting...... Ask AR Fab..... he is building one for his street car....... and he'll be building others for people that want them....

The motor had a previous life with DFI. Now its running a Hondata 3BD.

This motor was built by AEM a long time ago when they did that sort of thing.
