how to pass emissions test for boosted cars in ny state
I recently just purchased a 2000 FBP Civic Si. I have a b18c1 out of my previously wrecked integra, that I am currently building the gsr motor for boost. I have a question for anybody who has a boosted car in N.Y, how do you pass the the emission test when they plug your car in for your inspection, cause i know my p28 will not pass i will have to throw a stock obd2 p72 in. Any help is appreciated

so im gonna have to take the kit off, and put stock injectors in, there has gotta be an easier way to pass with the kit on, with just throwing the stock ecu in without taking the kit off

Give it a shot with the kit still on and running the USDM OBD2 P72. My friend has a 96 hatch that I swapped a JDM OBD1 H22 into, he threw his USDM OBD2 P72 and it passed. It BARELLY passed since it barelly idle'd...but it did it first try. The guy at the shop was baffled lol.

Simple, swap all the stock electronics back in - ecu, injectors, o2's, cat, map. You can keep the turbo setup on just dont boost (duh). I have my entire setup so that its easily reversable. I bought a 3" cat for my exhaust with O2 bung. And i modified my stock injectors to fit in the ODB1 clips.
