Default laggy BOV response time

Ive got a greddy type-s BOV and the response time kind of lags. I hear some compressor suge for half a second and then the BOV blows off. I've tried seperate vacumme sources, what could be wrong?

all hoses look cool, my side mount intercooler piping is a tad bit tiny, could that affect it?

Maybe your bov is set too tight. Did you try loosening the valve?

its very loose, i even put it where it was open durring idle with the same results. is there supposed to be a slight lag? or is it supposed to be immediate?

Just so you know, the bov NEEDS to be open during idle. If it doesnt open at idle, that means its barely gonna open when you close the throttle. Sounds to me like its just way way too tight. Also, where do you have the vacuum line for it routed?

The greddy type-s BOVs seem to have that problem. Simple fix though.. There are 2 nipples on the BOV, one connects to the intake manifold, and the other usually reads atmosphere. Instead of letting the small nipple read atmosphere, connect it to a pressure source as close to the turbo as possible. If the turbo has a nipple on it, connect it to there. If not, tap your charge pipe and install a nipple and connect the nipple on the bov to there. It will release very quickly after that.

the line is routed to the line on the throttle body. And if i left it open durring idle, wouldnt it take in the dusty bad air?

SlowTeg: sounds like a plan, to bad i'm going to have to tap the charge pipe. what a pain.

Yeah, unfortunately that's the only way to fix it. I had the exact same problem with my car. Basically if I gave WOT in 5th and I went to partial throttle it surged a little. I had to tap my charge pipe as well. Alot of people don't know that you can do this. Most people just leave it VERY loose, which makes it whistle like crazy and gets pretty annoying.
