getting rdy to drop some cash


picked up a K24a2 usdm gonna run it with a rsx type s trans


i'm deff doing a moderate build on the motor....pistons...rods...k20a2 oil pump.... valve train.. diff intake mani prob

my question to you peeps is 2 parts

first off....goal i'm shooting for is only 430hp...pump gas mainly....looking for a good spool..not laggy at all


so what cam's???? and what turbo???

I don't wanna break the bank any more than I have to please

When I was researching turbo k series, a lot of ppl seem to have good luck with a stage 2 bc or ips cam. As far as the turbo goes, with a 2.4L you should get pretty good response out of any moderate sized turbo. I'd say go with like a 5858 or GT3076. Or go with a 6262, GT35, or similar sized turbo if you'd like room to grow. My lil bro has a 6266 on his type S and I wish he had went smaller. He went with that size because his original plan was to build a K24 bottomend in the future. Now that he's staying with the stock K20 I wish he would have went with the 5858. The 6266 feels real peaky and comes on real hard. I've driven my buddies gsr hatch with a 5858. He makes about 20 more whp then my bros rsx but the power comes on a lot smoother.
