help boost spike
Hi I have a tial 38mm wastegate with a 7 psi spring, and my boost gauge never has gone over 8 psi, but in the last week or so its been going to 10 and 11 psi, i checked the wastegate there is no leaks or anything, im just wondering what it could be, also my blow off valve has not been working unless i boost over 5 psi, the wastegate and bov are on the same vaccum line if that makes any diff.
if you have any ideas that would help please let me know
thanks

Re: help boost spike (B18 rider)
Usually you want the wastegate to have it's own boost source, which can either be before the throttle plate or after it. The only other thing that should be tied to the WG's boost line is your boost controller. The BOV can share the same vacuum source as say your boost gauge, brake booster line, or maybe even your FPR line, however I dont think it's a good idea to run it to the FPR line.
