You'd think after 5 years of being a member he would know that. Definitely get AAA. You'll be needing it.

Here is the same kit but $1250 plus free shipping plus you can make offer which could get it cheaper. You don't want to spend anymore money on it than you need too. You will likely be replacing half the stuff in the kit or more. Hope fully you do not damage your motor.

Have you thought about a goautoworks kit? It's only 800 bucks more ( probably less than what it'll cost you to replace all the junk that comes in the Godspeed kit)

I tried to buy cheap. It turned out to be more expensive when you have to buy twice.

Piece together your own setup from the Marketplace. These cheap "kits" are nothing more than a pre-packaged headache

Basically what everyone else said

you'll be replacing the turbo, wastegate, blow off valve, couplers, clamps, and any other mechanical component.

spend the extra 800 and get a quality kit that won't be nothing but a problem.... if you can't swing the extra 800 then don't even try to turbo your car

thank you for all your replies. After doing more research. I might as well save up more money to just swap in a k motor, when this motor dies.

That is even more expensive... a typical stock turnkey k swap is around 10,000 dollars. this is with the wiring done, the motor mount modifications, shifter box and tunnel modifications, fuel system etc.

unless you are purposely trying to kill your motor it won't happen anytime soon

I don't see any problem with these kits, its allgood if your gonna swap to better parts later on. My friend bought a kit off ebay 6years ago, he still has most of the parts on his eg8 b18c, the turbo lasted 3years and he had a stainless manifold which lasted 4years before getting a small crack. He made 210wkw on 7psi> 281whp.

Im about to buy a kit off ebay for my dc2 in 2-3weeks, but dam the shipping is $500 alone. Im gonna sell the turbo and get a gt3076R. Hopefully my engine holds up as its still the original one with 305,000km

He got lucky then, most China turbos don't last 3 months, same for the manifolds

depend on how you drive it, if he was just turbo to hear the blow off valve go off and drive it as a daily commuter, short trip not much load and heat then yes them China turbo do last for a decent amount of time for what it worth, but if you beat on it or floor down the highway ramp and take it to the track occasionally there no chance! that seal wouldn't last and would smoke by the end of the season, and i doubt the stainless steel manifold would last at all pass a month. my first stainless steel one only last 2 week when the first crack appear reweld it next week more crack appear reweld it again next week took it to the track had 2 good time trial run and 2 decent pass, on the way home while cruising down the highway broooom ! car lost power and was loud as heck though it was the exhaust pull over and look underneath the car nothing! pop the hood i notice the wastegate just hanging on by the vacuum line and this was just 7 psi with a small turbonetics turbo and turbonetic evolution wastegate.

I would check out other kits with the turbonetic turbos. I bought a kit a little over a year ago, the only thing I upgraded was the skimpy intercooler. It even came with a 38mm TURBOSMART DELTA wastegate. It was only $1200 with everything. been running it pretty hard and everything is holding up. All in all with some used precision injectors and neptune ecu I spent barely over $2000.

This was the exact one i bought...i forgot to mention I replaced the manifold with a cast log manifold I bought for less than $100. It's def worth the money if your on a budget.

How can you be so sure its even an authentic turbonetics? i really wouldnt trust that kit at all. Fake BOV fake waste gate, shitty manifold and for an extra 800 You can get a go autoworks kit with real parts

the k engine not so expansive the price is up there but it still is affordable, the stuff to make it work good luck on that by the time you get a running k series I'll be able to build a d or b series that will outrun you k twice as fast. by all mean if your budget allow it go on ahead but it doesn't look that way. save up get the goauto turbo kit you'll be happy you did, just a bit of boost will put a smile on any body face.

authentic or not i wouldn't get that kit at all period! Some people get those kit and get lucky and they last for a decent amount of time but, the majority of people who get those kit always have problem, crack or blown manifold, blown turbo seal, cold side turbo housing blow, wastegate leaks, rubber cupling goes bad, intercooler piping get crush when you tight them down because of weak material, t bolt clamp goes bad.
