Re: Front bumper exit exhaust
That does look sexy. I've never had aproblem with emissionsguys around here. I've even had open downpipe cars get passed lol.
Typically as long as the sensor it's at least 12 inches from theend of the exhaust you won't have any reversion issues

You guys have it rough.
Here in the free state of PA, I have driven around with the 3" hole in my passenger fender since April 2011 with no hassle from the police.
It's literally almost silent at low throttle in motion, which is nice. If I have the windows up, I can barely tell it's there. Wide open is a bit loud, but that's expected.

There's "legal" and "emissions legal". No, it is not legal to do. Will it pass some emission's test? Only way to find out is research your region of the state. Is it illegal to do to a point where you'll get pulled over for it? Yep. Absolutely. Any officer could do that as it is a civil infraction.

Here in California, you're lucky if a smog station passes your car with just an open air filter. These guys are stupid strict on emissions and anything aftermarket is usually an automatic fail even if the part has an E.O. number on it. My cousin with his old turbo'd accord snuck his in with nicely placed custom heat shields to hide the his setup. If it wasn't so dusty and oily, maybe the tech would have looked closer but it passed with flying colors. He also had a cutout right after the dp bend and one thing I noticed was the exhaust fumes would give you headaches on long car rides when he had it open. Might want to think about placement when doing a bumper cutout
