endyn piston ring gap
I got my rings gapped and the guy who gapped them said that when he put them in the bore WITHOUT FILING them it was 0.015 which is out of endyn's specs for 81mm bore... what should i do?

This is what my end gaps were also when I got my block bored and honed from GE, my local machine shop said it was a little looser than he likes or Endyn recommends but still useable. Don't file anymore from the rings now then, run it alittle loose is all you can do. Good luck.

Your machine shop must've taken a lot of material out of the bore. What is the piston-to-wall clearance? Mine was .0029 and my rings had almost no gap at all. (75.5mm bore Endyn pistons)
You'll be fine with that ring gap though. That's a little loose, but I doubt it will cause any problems. That's definitely better than having them too tight.

Re: endyn piston ring gap (Sonny)
they must have...
my pistons are 81mm bore...
i was thinking about measuring the bore iwth a micrometer to see just how much he took off

Definitely better than having them too tight. Too tight and when they really heat up the rings can bind and give you alot more problems.

Got my block back a few days ago from Golden Eagle(84mm bore). Also got new Endyne pistons. I started checking my rings gaps and i was getting .017. Is this ok cause Endyne says they should be around .012-.013? How much will they swell when the block is at normal operating temp?

Mypiston to wall clearance is also like .035
_______
Isn't that to much? Endyne calls for .0028-.0029 for a 84.5mm bore for Turbo app. I think u meant to say maybe .0035. But they say .0031-.0032 is for a 87mm.
