Sucks for you guys in a 15 mile radius I think there are about 5 or 6 stations that sell E-85 at the pump. Drive right up and fill her up. Most of the stations are called Family Express and E-85 is about $2 a gallon right now way better than over $3 for 93...

Nice! Norfolk Naval Shipyard has it but I wonder if they'll sell it to the yard employees, gotta find out.
It says only military personal.
I'm praying so, I'll just drive my car to work once a week or whenever it needs gas. haha

Re: E85 stations across the USA
no you cannot just put it in and go. you have to tune for e85. the main thing i had to do was add more fuel, around 35% more if i remember right to get proper afr's. i run e85 straight and i didn't change any parts out except for bigger injectors and the tune. my walbro 255 is holding up just fine. i did a lot of research before switching to this stuff and i'm glad i finally decided to run it. b16 with 12:1 comp + 150 shot n2o + e85 = .

Hell, all I did was put in a Walbro 255, some NGK 5's, and advance the timing. The rest is all stock, I have been driving the POS work car, a 91' CRX Si with a B16, for over 3 years this way. Putting close to 100,000 miles on this setup, nothing has gone wrong besides burning up a couple old oxygen sensors.

I know...You can always drive a bit and fill up a drum.
Now that i'm in gainesville, the Biofuels Station in Lake City makes their own e85, they also have e98 if you're looking for more power or want to mix your own e85 with 93 (or higher) octane instead of 87.
They are cool about filling up my 55 gallon drum.
The one on the turnpike are real tight asses though, a lot of time if you're car isn't on their FFV list, they wont let you fill up.

C12 is 108 octane AND is leaded. E85 will yeild less power, but when you consider c12 is ~$13/gal in smaller amounts vs $2.50/gal max for E85.... You'd be able to pay for a meth setup in notime and still be cheaper per gallon with a 100% meth mix.

Re: E85 stations across the USA
Do you have a side by side comparison of a car running C12 vs E85? I would be interested in the results. I would think they would be pretty even, C12 is only 3 octane over E85 but its not oxygenated vs E85 being oxygenated (from what I am told) and also the additional cooling properties you get when using E85.

whats the scoop on E85 and the custom aluminum fuel cells available(exospeed, NRG)? Ive heard that e85 doesnt like non anodized aluminum fittings, etc.
