Del Sol radiator vs Koyo/Fluidyne/Pwr
Is there any real improvement in cooling capacity using the aftermarket 1/2 size civic radiators? I already have a dual core Del Sol one.

Yes, my 1/2 size 92-95 civic fluidyne is like a 3 core, and is about 3 times as thick as a stock rad. Increase surface area, equals increase cooling efficency

i was running a stock one like you are talking about and it would over heat in traffic every now and then.also, when i made one pull at the track,it would spit a little coolant in the over flow and the recall on the water temp was as much as 260 deg.i thought it was something wrong with the engine.i went ahead and bought a pwr from earl and now i have no problems at all.after a pull at the track,i don't get coolant in the overflow anymore and the water temp is lower than it was in the staging lanes(don't remember the exact temp)

i think there is a lil confusing here...but a dlesol half sized radiator is a dual core....ive been running it on my setup for a yr now w/ no problems...well except for not bleeding it and gettin a few air bubbles....but after that no issues.....now the stock civic radiators are half sized and a single core...def wont cut it for a boosted app.....
and of course a well designed/engineered core is going to cool very well...ive seen some people even run pwr's & fluidynes w/o fans....but i wouldnt risk it...no want to overheat and not be able to do anything about it

well i can tell you this...worked awesome all last summer for me...only time i was overheatin was after i drained my coolant and didnt bleed the system...i also run water wetter along w/ a favorable mix of distilled water and minimal coolant
