Re: compression ration (ek9t)
So for a turbocharged si with t3/t4 turbonetics it's better to use 9:1 compression??
How would the 11:1 piston help??

Re: compression ration (BLaCKWiDoWSi)
How many pounds of boost are you planning to run? You will have to be extremely careful with 11:1 as opposed to 9:1. You can do 9.5:1 safely with moderate amounts of boost.
No matter what though, tuning is everything.

Re: compression ration (Project_Integra)
10:1 is poretty safe with today's technology IF the person putting it together knows what they are doing... too many people nowadays think they know what they are doing when they really dont... anything higher than 10:1 imo does really need a standalone... 9:1 is pointless nowadays... its too low for the street... at least go a couple tenths higher... true... with 11:1 or any higher u have to be really careful as u have much less room for any error... meaning if its not tuned right it will go boom! but then again so will any setup not tuned right... but u have more "play" in tuning lower comp
