Car ran fine, all the sudden it runs like crap and won't idle
So I just finished up my car, got it running and it was just fine. Ran PERFECT for 2 days.
I went to just start it up yesterday and it didn't want to turn over. I thought I may have touched my conversion harness so I checked that and made sure all the wires were straight and in their place. The car starts and runs but it smokes like no other and won't idle unless it has gas and when you hold the gas it sounds like complete **** (not like it did for the 2 days prior)
My first initial problem was the fuel pump. It was replaced and works just fine now and I can still hear it prime. I know this is kinda hard to figure out over the web so I'll try to get a video today. The car scares me when I have to rev it to keep it going because it sounds so bad and smokes moderately (its not A LOT but its a decent amount).
The car won't idle and will die and it won't start unless I play with the throttle.
I'm going to pull the plugs today and check them as soon as I can find my spark plug socket.
Any advice? Thanks H-T.

We need a lot more info on the setup to help you out man.
Does it have a different map sensor.. if so check the vac line going to it if it has one.
What injectors, EMS, etc would be a good place to start.

Stock map sensor.
Stock injectors just for getting it running, walbro 255 just installed and working perfect, and stock P28 on a Boomslang OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness.

Make sure you didn't skip a tooth or so on your timing belt. Is your VC cut at all? Also...you have converted your injector plugs to OBD1 or are you still using your OBD2 injector system?

OBD2 injectors. They are stock Si injectors.
VC and all the longblock is stock.

I believe it lies between a few things youve done, for one you need to convert you injector clips to obd1 clips so the ecu can properly run the injectors using the obd1 conversion, second i believe your fuel pump is not able to work properly because your ecu has a base map for a stock fuel pump and cannot properly work untill your fuel map is tunned for the pump this is why i installed my fuel pump and injectors when i got to the tunner. or your running with a cylinder missfire or multiple this can be caused by a bad injector or you have a bad connection to one or more of your injector clip wires, also bad dist wires or coil will cause poor idle and drivability, what was done before and between the 2 days it was driving fine?

Did you push the car without a tune? When my car started to idle like **** I did a quick compression test. 90 is 2 cylinders is no good. My rings were gone

Check your main relay, but it shouldnt be smoking like that. Do a compression test and report back.

They were all gapped to 50 or 52... whatever the stock honda was.
I will change them to 28-30 when I get tuned.

I think it could of been the ECU conversion harness. I tinkered with it some more. Either that or my power source since my battery was weak as hell and we were using a not so great bettery to get power from also... This time we jumped it from a perfectly fine daily driven ford ranger. She cranked right over.

Not if the battery wont charge at all. I would still pop the cap off the main relay, my car would do that sometimes (wouldnt smoke though) and turns out the relay was all fkd up.

Well the relay was changed out with another used relay because thats what I thought the problem was at first when it wouldn't even turn over.

He's being a smartass and has nothing to do with the situation at hand.
I don't either because the car ran fine before and then that 1 day it acted up. I know this sounds bad of me, but unless it keeps doing it... I'm not going to worry about it for now.
