Default Can i use thicker oil for a blown turbo

the turbo smokes slightly. If I use thicker oil, say 20w-50 or something, will it still smoke?

Get your hands on some Lucas Oil that should stop the smoking.

No personal experience.

I have 2 friends that had minor smoking due to blown oil seals. They used Lucas Oil and the smoking stopped. It's a temporary fix until the turbo has been repaired. Doesn't really last though. 1 of the guys is having the turbo repaired now because even with the Lucas it still smokes a lot.

If you're smoking a lot the Lucas might not help at all.

Perhaps some other H-T members have used Lucas Oil as well?

Sorry I can't be anymore help than that.
