Default bypassed iac, upon first start oil press low for about 2 sec, wil this hurt it?

ive had my iac bypassed for a while for other reasons. but when its cold and i first start the car i kinda hold the gas a lil to keep idle up til it warms up but it still for about 1-3 sec shows the oil press light , quicker i give it a small rev it stops but will that tiny bit of time hurt the bearings after a while or no? its normally about 1-2 sec long. i run 1030 synthetic.

Sounds like your bearings might be a little too loose, as in its all leaking from the oil galley when off. My bearings are at the edge of Honda's limits, and my oil light barely flickers as it shoots to 80psi. FYI the dummy light comes on at 4psi and under, so you better get a oil pressure gauge on there to see what's going on.

After my car sits for a few days if I go to crank it I notice the oil light for a split second after startup. Didn't seem long enough to wory about. I do notice my oil pressure gauge has about a 1-2sec delay before it shoots all the way up to 5.5ish bar. It gets its reading from the sandwich adapter inbetween the block/filter. I was under the assumption this was normal.

well its a stock block so clearances should all be good. its just idles so low at first startup the car barely stays runnin and it triggers the oil light

When I had idle problem I had the same issue. Fix you idle so it starts strong and the problem should go away.
