Default Bumper fitment with Intercooler

I was not sure where to post this, so if it should be moved let me know. I am working on intalling a precision 600hp intercooler on my 94 hatch. I mounted the intercooler to the bottom of the bumper core support. When i test the bumper for fitment, it seems like it might sit too low. The previous intercooler was an XS power that fit between the core support and the frame. The precision sits flush with the frame the bottom. I was hoping to get away with not cutting or removing the bumper core support but i wanted to see what you guy think. Does anyone have direct experience with the precision 600hp intercooler on am eg hatch? Any information would be appreciated. The dimensions of the intercooler are 31 1/2"L X 8.0"H X 3 1/2"D.

Default Re: Bumper fitment with Intercooler

Lots of people will get rid of the bumper support and build a new one to move a bigger intercooler away from the ground. Mine sits below the rad support and I've never bottomed out on it, my car is about 4" from pinch welds to the ground.
