Default the age old question.......

what the f*ck is wrong with my car!!! ok 92 civic 4dr dx d16z6 yada yada yada. i start it and it turns over it just wont fire, so i checked spark. all four got spark, checked fuel at the fuel filter, got fuel. checked fuel at the rail, got fuel. i dont know how to check it at the injectors so i didnt. i have 450 dsms and a resistor box. which i think is the problem. i wired it the ghetto way, cut the yellow and black wires about a foot from the rail , wired the red wires on the injector side and the black wire on the harness side. which should be right. is there anyway to check if injectors work? i pulled them from the intake but there is no way i can hold 43 psi worth of fuel. i thought i could pull the mani off and see if they release fuel, but i cant do that because i will leak coolant all over the place. anyone know what it could be?
thanks guys

pull the plugs in each of the cylinders and see if they are wet or that cylinder smells like fuel

besides, fuel and spark...you also need compression...check your compression

You need a node light. See if you can borrow one from a local mechanic you know. Place it against the injector while having someone turn over the car and it should light up if it fires. If it doesnt, then that injector is your problem.

yeah we smelled em, nothin. my neighbor said he has a device that you put between the injector and the connector and it tells you if the injector is getting a signal. cant i just use a volt meter and see if the injectors are getting a signal?

Your neighbor is talking about a node light. Just borrow it.

what if i took out the resistor and put the stock injectors and tried to fire it up? i am running uberdata set at 450 injectors will it cause any conflicts

just pull out your entire fuel rail with the injectors still in it and crank the car real quick, i did it and my injectors didn't fly out... they just squirted. I'm pretty sure fuel is your problem, though. Re-do your wiring.

alright i first checked for cel's nothing
i then pulled my chipped p28 and put in the stock p06, didnt make a difference
then i pulled out the resistor box rewired everything and put in the stock injectors, still same result it turns over but it will not fire.

couple of questions
-how many grounding points are there? i have three, one on the valve cover, one by the tranny, and one on the driver side of the intake manifold
- the ground from the intake manifold i didnt have so i just made one and ground it with the one from the valve cover, will this cause problems, also i dont think the gauge is very thick
-i have some oil leaking from my oil filter, this has never happened before, i did switch to synthetic if that makes a difference
-can i put some fuel in the spark plug holes and try to turn it over?

need help guys i need to get her running

ok, getting fuel, getting spark, now check compression (you would need a compression gauge for this) and cam to crank alingment by lining up the TDC marks on the crank and the cam sprockets. If the cam timing is way off the distributer would be off as well so spark could be early or late. The cam timing also affects compression #s too.

well i checked everything and i am not getting voltage to the injector connectors. anyone know what might be wrong? haynes says it might be a worn harness (doubt it) or the main relay anyone know what might be wrong and how i can check?
also what is the resistance of a 450 dsm?
