When I take the screw out of my Turbonetics Deltagate my car boosts up to 5lbs. I am going to be getting it tuned and was wondering what is the highest amount of boost I can run with this spring before I have to upgrade to another one.

Another question is I have a 2.5" exhaust and plan on upgrading to 3" exhaust.

For a mandrel bent 3" steel exhaust I was quoted 400 on my DC2 and for Mandrel bent Aluminum 700 all the way back for both.

To me it seems a little pricey but, are there any gains to getting it done that way then by going to a Muffler shop in Orlando and getting it done way cheaper?

I paid 87 dollars for my 2.5" all the way back. An it was going to be 160-180 for 3" all the way back in Orlando.

The welds and stuff do look like **** but it works and I don't care about looks when it comes to my exhaust.


Any help is VERY MUCH appreciated.

you get what you pay for. bad welds could lead to exhaust leaks if the welds aren't solid. but it seems, you've made up your mind and going cheap route?

I spring will always open at that amount of boost needed to open (5 pounds per square inch in your case) unless you have a boost controller overriding it.

I think your only supposed to go double the psi of a spring when using a boost controller.

Hmm, well just by screwing it down with the screw on the top I could get about 12lbs of boost out of that spring without it spiking.
