2.25" Intercooler piping restrictive for 300whp?
My whole charge pipe set up is 2.5". Today I bought an 2.25" intercooler pipe, to connect to the TB, and to go to the hole behind the passenger light housing. (Yes just one pipe, Looking to replace 3 pipes and 6 clamps with this one pipe)
My question is, can I run this 2.25" pipe with the rest of my system being 2.5"?
The piping will be 2.5" from the ic to the pax headlight housing, then 2.25 the rest of the way to the TB.
I have a precision t04e 60-1 with a .48 exhaust side. I have been looking for information on my turbo for hours and cant really get a straight answer.
info I have gotten from a couple sites...
t04e 60 trim has a flow rate of 50lbs/min
60-1 725CFM
I know I can throw the pipe on and take it for a drive, but if there is any restriction, its going to be minor and probably wouldn't even notice it, but I want the max power I can get. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
2.25" piping
3.9740625 sq in = 1.98703125 x 2
300 cfm = 123 mph = 0.16 mach
400 cfm = 164 mph = 0.21 mach
500 cfm = 205 mph = 0.26 mach
600 cfm = 247 mph = 0.32 mach
700 cfm = 288 mph = 0.37 mach
740 cfm max = 304 mph = 0.40 mach

I really don't think it'll make a difference. air flows really weird and since its a gas it'll compress thus forced induction and psi and correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the flow of air speed up in the smaller pipe creating faster spool?
kind of why t3t4 turbo combinations were made.

thanks for the replies.
agreed tim, but I do see myself pushing 400+ eventually, which is why I purchased this turbo to begin with.
