I have a friend with a dremel..

in your opinion should I try drilling out the hole if I can find the drill bit, or just buying an AEM regulator? has anyone done this on their fprs?

where do u think all those metal shavings are gonna go? besides im not a big fan of riggin stuff up. thats why i chose aem fpr. also if u ditch the fmu and go to hondata or equivelent, how low would your fuel pressure be with that mod and no fmu to make up for it

Even without the FMU, I would still have the high flow fuel pump installed so I would still have higher than normal fuel pressures.

You'll save a bunch of money by doing this mod, and buying a B&M fuel presure regulator (they're a lot cheaper than the AEM). The shavings from the drilling are easy to remove once you've done the cutting for the B&M install. I guess I assumed that you had a B&M regulator already. Didn't realise you were trying to lower the base pressure using the Jackson Rising Rate FPR (FMU).

no, I do not have a B&M regulator, I am running a stock FPR setup.

would this mod be safe to do on the stock setup? I can flush out the shavings with water and/or compressed air...

I used to use it, but it never did enough good to be worth the hassle, so I took it off and sold it. The check valve also started leaking on mine at one point, dripping water/methanol mixture onto my spinning rotors and blasting all the coating off of the lobes, which sucked.

On the dyno we could never add enough timing to make up for the loss of power from adding the water. I have seen severely knock-limited setups where it did some real good, but they have all been supercharged domestic V8's. I don't think a JRSC'd Honda motor is knock limited to the extent that would make a water/methanol injection system worth the hassle. Save your $ and put them toward a LHT setup if you're running a JRSC system, it will make a huge difference.

If you must use water injection, the Aquamist system is nice, I got one new from a seller on ebay for a good price. Plus it held it's value well when I got tired of screwing with it and put it back on ebay for the next poor bastard to try.

Yeah i keep reading little tidbits of info here and there, and from what i gather, the nose of the blower hits the master cylinder.
I guess i was just wondering if anyone has come up with a simple solution to wedge that blower in there.

The nose of the blower on my Endyn M62 D series blower kit hit the bottom of the master cylinder on my EF. It was the webbing on the snout housing that was hitting, and to a certain extent, the nose itself. I ground down a piece of the webbing, and shimmed my motor mounts to lower the motor about 3/8", and with my harder motor mounts, I never had trouble with the snout hitting the master cylinder when driving and autocrossing.

I bet you feel better. You should still switch to an adjustable fpr, and run a chipped ecu.

re: when was your endyn port work done.
No idea. I bought it used.

I don't have a low boost b16a map. Sorry.

If you need dimensions on the MP62 (4th gen) vs M62 (3rd gen) check out this site. It should be right on except for the nose, which changes depending on app.

I just saw a rare ZC kit for sale on ebay by nopi , http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
From what I know they made a limited production run for the zc motors and no longer sell them, may be your only chance to get one
