fuel cut and cel, cant pull codes obd1 need help
my car is a gsr on 9 lbs, it runs good most of the time, until i drive for an extended period of time, if i drive on the highway for usually more than 10 miles the cel comes on, and under wot i will hit fuel cut right before vtec, if i kill the car and restart it sometimes the cel will stay on but i will allow me to boost into vtec, i have tried jumpering the two pin connector in the passenger floor board, and the check engine light will just go out, if i jumper it and turn the key on and off the light will stay off untill unplug it then it just stays on. i have tried all different years makes and models that the pcm could be from using a snap on modis, and couldnt communicate with the pcm on any of them. the pcm is a p28 with hondata s300, anyone that could give me some advice on any of this would be great

Ok I know that was a lot of info, but has anyone had any problems with using hondata s300 and a p 28 ecm, or has anyone had problems reading cels with hondata

You should just your your laptop and use the Smanager software to datalog and read the error codes. The OBD2 diagnostic connector will not work as you are using an OBD1 ECU.

My laptop is broken at the time, but my modis has the obd1 connector that plugs into the 3 pin connector next to the ecm, it just wont communicate, and im not sure if its because hondata is installed or not

You should find someone with SManager, a laptop and datalog cable to retrieve the codes in SManager. If all of the other methods do not work they may not be connected. Shorting pin D4 to chassis ground will work the same as shorting the SCS connector.
If the SCS connector is hooked up and you are still getting no CEL flashes with it shorted that could be a code 0. Does the CEL flash for two seconds when you first turn the key on?
Check your No.1 Fuse (or the backup fuse) make sure it is making good contact.

Came out of an OBD1 (92-95) SOHC VTEC Civic. (D16Z*) If it's chipped with VTEC and a Hondata S300 and then it is tuned properly it shouldn't really matter.
