Default EP3 Civic SI ECU Harness Spliced Into

Hi Folks. I just bought an ep3 civic that was previously trashed. I got it running but after scanning it, there are 2 codes left. P0108 (Map Sensor) P1259 (Vtec). I was troubleshooting the P0108 (Map Sensor) and tried a new sensor and it didn't work so I started with the helms troubleshooting. When I got to the ecu a11-a19 jumper wire I notice on my ecu connector there are some spliced wires into another connector. Can anyone identify why this is this way? I'm trying to contact PO to get some info but anything would help.

A local friend informed me it's for an Apexi VAFC. I'm guessing the PO ripped it off the car. I rewired the harness to factory color codes and all codes are cleared now.
