Can i use Apexi Vtec controler w/ hondata s300v3 just for moniter but not tuning?
I have a apexi vtec afr controller in my car with a boomslang harness plug and play. I currently have a p28 chipped hondata s300v3 with dataloging capabilities etc. I just want to use the boomslang plug and play harness with my apexi vtec controller in my car. I will not use the vtec controller for any tuning or anything. I just needed some simple display of live data on use such as rpm and TP etc.
if I zero out all the vtec control settings is this ok to use with my hondata s300v3?
will using the boomslang plug and play harness with my p28 hondata s300 have any affect or will that damage my ecu?
just want to use it for data readings.....

Yes. Very easily. You just use the initial settings for the number of cylinders and make sure the signal is right, and you're good to go. I've got guys that do that ll the time vs. using a bunch of gauges.

are there still tuners out there that can work with a s100 or s200? I forgot which one I have, been years since I've driven my Honda.
