6500rpm Misfire - eCtune
I'm having an ignition problem on my car
I've had a recurring misfire which happens at 6500 rpm since we built the car, upgraded the stock ignition components to MSD external coil at first, misfire still there. The upgraded to a MSD Digital 6 with Magnecor plug wires.
Tuned the car on pump gas and 12psi and it was clean, let the car cool, changed over to Ethanol and as soon as it reaches 6500rpm it starts breaking up and continues breaking up.
The weird thing is that it is NOT load dependent, it will miss at 0 boost under light load and under boost.
Misfire starts at 6500 rpm irrespective of load/boost level, telling me its not a spark blowout issue
Setup is as follows:
LS/Vtec Turbo
9:1 CR
Holset HX40 turbo
E85
eCtune
MSD Pro Cap
MSD Digital 6
MSD Blaster HVC
Magnecor Plug wires
BCPR7ES or NGK Racing Plugs gapped at 0.018
Any ideas ? Could this be something within the eCtune map itself ?
I have the cal file and log file if needed

Try a fresh ectune .cal and try stock wires. Monitor the fp gauge when it happens.
How much did u bump the fuel up? Maybe there is a weakness somewhere now that you are using more of the fuel system?
