Where to buy/ Resurfacing rockers?
I checked my head and saw the rockers are in good condition, but the VTEC rockers are worn and are starting to pit. On top of that my camshaft has damage from this on its vtec lobes, 1 of them only though.
I cant find d16 rockers anywhere, and they are discontinued item from oem honda. LOL I think i can resurface them still the pitting is bad but not that bad. If I resurface them will they work good? DO I just have to adjust valve lash to correspond with the rocker that is now slighltly smaller due to resurfacing the pitted area?
Looked everywhere cant find replacements. d16 engine

Cool! Let us know how they turn out.
Does this shop perform hardness testing afterwards? Any kind of coating or treatment?
Rocker arm wear was an issue for some guys running big cams (especially H series it seems like).
Another option I've heard of is DLC coating. Its pretty cool stuff. Super hard and super slick. I kinda want to try it out in my build. I can't seem to link the vid, but if you do a search on YouTube for " wpc dlc coating" you'll see what I'm referring to. Neat stuff!

Re: Where to buy/ Resurfacing rockers?
No nothing fancy like that, it was kind of a straight forward shop like resurface and its done. They main specialty is to do rockers I paid 80$ for all of them.
They didnt have replacements for this honda engine either. Ill see when they arrive how they did them. I didnt ask about the dlc coating, I didnt really even want to repair them but they were starting to eat the camshaft.
They popped outa nowhere.
And this head's a remanufactered with 4 years 7400rpm max rev's. Unless they put the already-pitted rocker arms into the remanufactered head.

They resurfaced them clean, fixed my pitted ones perfectly.
If I just send the pitted ones it would probl only be like 25$.
Rocker Arms Unlimited
Aparently they have larger jobs, but they did mine in like 3 days from when they got the box.
