Default 700hp low cost fuel setup?

Hey just wondering if anyone has had a simlair setup, or how much max power can this setup make. i want it to possible get high 600 low 700 out of it b4 i have get a fuel-cell with dual pumps and bigger -a fuel lines.

my current setup is

walbro 255 intank
precision 1000cc injectors
aeromotive regulator
golden eagle fuel rail
all steel braided lines
aem fuel filter

I want to keep everything the same all im debating on is if i can make high 600 if i add a BOSCH 044 INLINE with my WALBRO 255 intank. I dont want to go with bigger injectors ill get there duty cycle close to max. I just dont think the walbro 255 can hold that much pressure by it self. Keep in mind im running a 75shot aswell. lmk what you guys think

255intank
bosch 044 inline
1000cc = max power??

If you did the ID1000's and 100psi base fuel pressure then Im sure that would help quite a bit. I think you need bigger injectors..

That would be a lot of fuell press if he's running enough boost tp make 700

the ID's at 100 base pressure is like 1600cc injectors. Your gonna need a good regulator that can do it consistently without coil binding the spring. (thanks tony for the lesson)

Weldon
and the upgraded fuel lab can do that.

if your trying to make that power. you can do that with the bosch 044

low cost fuel system = high cost rebuild

IMO walbros are iffy over ~300-400 ish, ive had 3 fail on me, and the last one took my motor with it =(

I have run my precision injectors on my old setup with an 80lbs base. It was a bosch 044 fuel pump and it worked great.

Can I ask why everyone says you need the ID 1000's to run a 100lbs base? Can you not do it with other injectors?

U dont "need" to run them at 100psi. People do it for the flow benefits. Because the spray pattern on the Id1000's is very efficient, and is still very good at 100psi. U cant just turn a regular injector up to 100psi and expect it to work very good. Basically they are 1000cc injectors that will flow like 1600's and run smooth like <440's but yet dont even need a resistor box.

why not just use 1600cc injectors instead of having to have the highbase fuel pressure?

buum-bumm-pop-pop, bu-bum-papaaapapapa.-pppopp-pop=1600cc injectors at idle.

and i wont speak of the inconsistencies up top.

Actually, you can. But this is where the efficiency of the injector coil and the strength of the injector driver come into play. Most ECU's will open most injectors with no problem at 120 - 130 psi, but there are a few combinations that won't work that high.

With an 'average' ECU, the ID 1000's performed very well in dynamic tests, had linear output at low pulse widths and through a wide range of pressures (no flow shifts), and had a nice conical mist spray pattern at 100 psi. If you need a high flowing, high impedance injector, they are a great option, but they are certainly not the only injectors that work well at higher pressures. My stock K-series injectors looked awesome at 100 psi.

The injector size might not matter as much, if he is running a wet nitrous system. The fuel pump will still matter however.

I didnt post that to say that the ID injectors are the only ones that could possibly flow at higher press. I said it that way cause I dont know for a fact that your average precision 1000cc injector can run efficiently at 100+psi, and Im not an engineer. So I dont care to try an re-invent the wheel. Plain and simple its a viable option for a 1000+cc injector that has no down side. Any others have idle issues and driveability issues etc.

BTW Im not sure if you noticed but he is trying to make 700hp. I dont really think a K-series injector is gonna help here

Understood. The only point I was trying to make is that 100 psi is not extreme for the average injector. All good!

my 1600's idle pretty good although i have pro 1's so it is choppy at times, but yeah, driving down return road is not always as smooth as marshmallows.

Im no way defending 1600's though, i just have them because its cheaper than 8 1000cc inj.

If this is correct, then you have a solution right?

No only is he correct, but there's a few of his customers running the same set-up and making over 700whp, inlcuding me.

I've made over 800hp on four ID1000cc injectors at 100psi base.. With that said, the injectors were at maximum duty cycle, so I don't recommend it..

like i said im not looking for nothing higher then 700 i just dont want to go to the dyno with a walbro 255intank and 1000cc injectors and run into problems where i max my fuel out and i dont even have enough to run a 75wet on it. but if the combo of 044 and 255 can make that power then ill go that route.

ok guys i looked around, went on a few forums and ask a few tuners what they recom on a fuel system for 700 i told them my setup and goals like i said b4 i want to have the capablity to make high 600 low 700. So i orderd the bosch 044 and keeping my walbro 255intank with 1000cc inj they say this setup with 60 psi on the regulater with stock return line can hold 700 we'll see i keep you guys updated on how i made out

thanks for the replies

Interesting.... havnt gone to get the car tuned yet but my fuel setup is similar... anyone have an idea on HP level possible according to fuel pressure with this setup?

walbro 255 intank
Bosch 044 inline
weldon A2040 fuel regulator
skunk2 carbon fiber fuel rail
ID fuel injectors 1000cc
ALSO SC61 turbo if that helps with a ball park figure?
