Try this out (1320 divided by your MPH) that will give you your ET on perfect traction. It = a 12.73

Thats a sweet calculation Im guessing thats on slicks to get perfect traction.

Yea that works with slicks best. I've tried it on a bunch of different cars and set ups and it seems to be right on point every single time no matter what the car runs. Turbo cars will be a little slower because of the traction ussues.

Allmotornonvtec your right it does work,it says you should have ran a 12.33 and you ran a 12.4 with the 107mph trapspeed

I think that only works for faster cars...

I don't think I'll ever see anything, even AWD, trap 93 mph and run a 14.19

i think too many factors go into it for that calculation to work right......... i ran a 16.03 @ 73mph, only because i let off bout 3/4 the way down the track or more....... by that calculation it came out to be an 18 something.

yeah i got a 13.48 with 2.1 60ft mark.. drag slicks.. but i hit my rev at 4th gear at the end. so I ended up at 104.1 mph.. So with some practice and good driving you think i can hit high 12's?

We are talking about real 1/4 drag strips.....an R with your mods should never see 104mph especially factoring your ET. Most likely the strip you went to used a radar/laser setup to give you a bolt-on R trapping 104....on stock cams

I say the 1320/ trap speed = ET is a good rough estimate of IF you had a perfect launch you could expect such and such ET

Factoring gearing/weight/hp/traction......its all a numbers game but its exact enough to set a realistic goal with a particular setup weight/hp/traction in mind. Plus it helps filter out the BS that some people post.

I hit 13.4 @ 106 mph at sac raceway and my little brother hit 13.6 at 106 mph...We need slicks badly no traction for $hit......The 1/4 mile calculation says we should hit 12.45 in the 1/4 mile....damn our times are way off...need some practice

22x15 bont have enough side wall for most cars. 15psi is way to high. with those slicks i'd try like 7-9psi. it sould hook if it boogs just leave higher until it stops booging and it should do a 1.8 60" @ least.

This doesnt make sence... My 12.3 @ 116 should have been an 11.3 accoding to this calculation!?

I think that formula relies on average hp, not peak like the vortech makes. You know your car would be mid to low 11's with 350 turbocharged hp.

If you can knock 1 tenth off your 60 it'll knock 2 tenths off your ET. You should be able to get 12.5's with practice.
