K Tuned All Motor Shootout at the 16th Annual Sport Compact Fall Nationals

On October 5th and 6th Englishtown Raceway Park along with Ortega Global Solutions is proud to bring to you the 16th Annual Sport Compact Fall Nationals.

One of the exciting classes at the event will be the 5th Annual K TUned All Motor FWD Shootout. This class is presented by K-Tuned and will feature some of the fastest All Motor FWD cars in country, competing for a $7,000 purse!!!

The payout will be structured as follows;
Winner - $4,000
Runner-Up - $1,000
Semi-Finalist - $500
¼ Finalist - $250

16 cars are required for a full payout.

The class rules are as follows;
For 4 & 6 cylinder Import / Sport Compacts FWD only. Naturally Aspirated.
Lexan, gutted interior, fuel cell & open exhaust OK (front windshield MUST be glass).
No “Pro” cars or 1 piece front end (3 piece OK). 25" x 9" max slick. Min. Honda weights: J (all V6) series - 2200lbs. K/F2K series - 2150lbs. H series – 2000lbs. B series - 1900lbs. All others -2000lbs.
Heads-Up, .400 Pro Tree. 16 Car - Pro ladder.

Tech Card cost will be $250. This will cover the car and the driver.

The tentative schedule will be two qualifying rounds on Saturday, October 5th and one qualifying round on Sunday, October 6th

very nice...many index and bracket racers should think about racing in this class, you make it to 1/4 finals and you basically raced free and had alotta fun at the event.

This class needs to go back to grassroots. 90x99 motor restriction, then more cars will come out to play.

There will be a good turnout this year I think. Good pay, and lots of competitive racers beating each other up. I love watching all you guys race.

at least a 99 motor won't cost an arm and a leg. Others can compete at that level. 2.5 max displacement, everyone else can move up to Pro.

nah, look at the car count. look at how many all motor cars are in 10.50 index. I bet if there was a 9.50 index we would lose half of the cars in SFWD.

I bet you a 99x90 would go 10.20 in the first couple events.

There is a lot more than the big cranks that drove the cost of the class up and the racers out

I think the current racers should really organize and get together in the EARLY off-season to develop some of this. Make some changes as a class (those who actually race) and then present those rules to the various bodies around the country as a "here, these are the rules we are going to follow" scenario.

But I cant wait for this event!

K20Ahondas hit the nail on the head. You put a restriction such as a 90x99 motor in that class and you will have a better more consistent turn out. It should be up to the guys that run this class on a Dailey basis though.

16 car minimum for 4000 and its 250 for a tech card.

16 x 250 = 4000.

I'm all for changing rules so more people can race, but to think that one rule change is the silver bullet answer, is asinine.

some money may actually maybe coming from ticket sales this time. Figure since its such a huge event turn out. remember this all dependent if there is a 16 car field anyway

Our first all motor shootout had 17 cars if I recall...

Where are all the customers that all you guys are building and selling motors to? Why aren't they coming out and racing in this class...

My slow *** car still comes year after year, underdog motor and all...why aren't you guys encouraging all your customers to come out and race to at least fill up the field?
