Mazworx True Street 2011 Honda D-Series Build
Since its the off-season now, we have decided to get cracking on our new race car for next year. Yes it will be D-series . Although we do realize that the TS class is already quick, we are building this car to have some fun and get back to a little bit of grassroots racing.
Here is the donor car in its all stock form before the tear down begins! We will try to keep it as simple as possible and have fun with it! Here's a short run down of what will be of the car:
Mazworx/Darton Sleeved D16
CP Pistons
Custom Carrillo Rods
Supertech Valvetrain
Mazworx Custom D16 intake manifold
Mazworx D2B Conversion/Adapter Kit (already in development)
Garrett Turbo ( to be determined)
Hondata S300
Injector Dynamics ID1000
Paint is a little rough so the car will be getting a new paint job. Were hoping to have this car ready by Feb 2011.

im really surprised at that Mazworx doesnt bring the SR20 fwd back to being competitive. We have such a good baseline and i know sucky trannies but they already have the 6 speed conversion kit and maybe to make that even better they could develope or have someone else develop a gearset for the 6 speed thats even stronger than the gears already in them.
They have already made the rwd SR20 crowd happy and had great results with their drag cars.
But hey to each their own. Good luck on the project. We shall see if the D series can even be competitive. Even fully built sleeved blocks are cracking and breaking anything over 600-700whp. The blocks just are not that stout.

Was able to get a little bit worked on yestarday. Got to pull the motor out of the car, and get the interior torn out to start doing the roll bar in it.

Get a weight break for the d and ill definitely make a few ts events this year. Our Co d showdowns kinda just turned into a free for all import class. I wish there was a 12 or 16 car field for our d's
